Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: Hydrology

The hydrology model of EPIC simulates aspects of water balance in the soil. Water falling on the soil from rainfall can run off or enter the soil. Once in the soil, water can percolate through the soil downwards or move laterally through the soil under the surface. Water can evaporate and be transpired by plants. The water table can rise and fall and affect the water content of the soil. In addition, during cold weather a snow pack can remain on the soil, building up and then melting again warm weather comes.

The hydrology submodels are:

Surface Runoff
Percolation and Lateral Subsurface Flow
Evapotranspiration
Water Table Dynamics
Snowmelt
