Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: units (as in heat units)

In simulation a unit used in the name of a variable (such as heat units) normally means arbitrary items that are derived (calculated) from physical properties but that don't actually represent any one physical quantity. Usually units like these are counted as an abstract measure of some process or change.

For example, heat units accumulate temperatures in degrees C over a base temperature, and floral induction units accumulate days of perfect photoperiod and temperature.
