Garden with Insight v1.0 Help: labile

Labile nutrients in the soil are readily available to plants. In reality plants can also absorb smaller amounts of non-labile compounds by exchanging other cations for them, but in this simulation only one form of both N (nitrate) and P (labile P) is taken up by plants. The reason the labile P compounds in the simulation are called simply "labile P" is that several phosphorus-containing compounds can be taken up by plants.

How it works:
nutrient cycling
nutrient uptake by plants
